A medical convoy of South Valley University in the village of Al-Marashda, Al-Waqf


Under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed Akkawy, President of South Valley University, and the supervision of Dr. Muhammad Saeed, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, a medical convoy was organized to the village of Al-Marashda in Al-Waqf.

Dr. Muhammad Saeed indicated that the convoy was attended by a selection of doctors from the university hospitals and the Faculty of Medicine, along with specialists from Al-Azima Center for Addiction Treatment in Qena.

He added that 514 cases were examined and treated free of charge, as follows:

  • 79 cases of internal medecine.
  • 97 cases of ophthalmology.
  • 99 cases of pediatric.
  • 78 cases of dermatology.
  • 85 cases of orthopedic.
  • 37 cases of ENT.
  • 39 cases of obstetrics and gynecology.

The Vice President of the University added that the Fund for Treating and Combating Addiction and Abuse has educated citizens of the village about the dangers of addiction and how to treat and prevent it. They also distributed leaflets and guiding posters on methods of treatment and prevention of addiction.
