Dr. Youssef Gharbawy, President of South Valley University, signed a work protocol with Dr. Ashraf Ismail, President of the General Authority for Accreditation and Health Control, regarding the application of the Egyptian Egycap program to qualify trainees on how to apply the accreditation standards issued by the General Authority for Accreditation and Health Control. The President of South Valley University also signed another work protocol with Dr. Muhammad Hani Hussein, Executive Director of Shefaa Al-Orman Hospital for Oncology, aimed at exchanging scientific and technical expertise regarding field training for medical staff and accreditation standards for medical facilities. Dr. Youssef Gharbawy stressed that these protocols mainly aim to improve the quality of health services provided by Qena University Hospitals by developing the training process in cooperation with specialized and experienced bodies in this field.
This came on the sidelines of the first medical education conference in Qena, held in Luxor from January 19-20, and the signing of the protocols was attended by Dr. Ali Abdel Rahman Goel, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine in Qena, Chairman of the Board of Directors of University Hospitals, Dr. Nizar Abu Halawa, Supervisor of the Medical Education Department at the Faculty of Medicine, Qena, and Dr. Hajjaj Mansour, Executive Director of Qena University Hospitals.
