Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Akkawi, President of the University, and the supervision of Prof. Dr. Samy Mourad, Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Siraj El-Din Sultan, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education & Student Affairs, and in the distinguished presence of Prof. Dr. Abdul Latif Shaker Siddiq, former Dean of the Faculty, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine organized a training workshop for “Presidential Initiative to protect the Egyptian family entity” Project, which is overseen by the Ministry of Social Solidarity in cooperation with South Valley University.
Dr. Samy Mourad emphasized the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine’s keenness to implement this seminar every semester to raise awareness content to all university students.
Dr. Ahmed Khairy Orabi, a digital media expert and certified trainer for the university project, highlighted the critical importance of addressing the rising divorce rates in recent years, which pose a significant problem to the whole society, this concern has prompted political leadership to initiate a project aimed at tackling the issue with the same level of commitment demonstrated in Egypt’s successful Hepatitis C elimination campaign, the training provided students with essential insights, enabling them to delve deeper into understanding and analyzing the phenomenon. This foundation facilitates informed decision-making in selecting life partners and overcoming challenges related to healthy family dynamics, as well as considering the social, health, and religious dimensions of marriage. Dr. Orabi commended the engagement of both male and female students, whose active participation significantly enriched the training experience and contributed to its overall effectiveness.
