Plan of suggested activities of the sector:

  • Creating and developing an electronic information system for the community service and environmental development sector to achieve adequacy, speed and accuracy of information.
  • Growing community interaction, developing its conviction and gaining its trust to support policies and decisions of the university.
  • Activating cooperation and communication with the community and orientation for sustainable development.
  • Activating the strategic themes of the community service and environmental development sector.
  • Assume the necessary analytical studies to identify the axes of the applied research projects by which the University contributes to the development of the environment.
  • Engage with civil society institutions in the public policy-making process for the action plan and proposing the principles of that policy.
  •  prepare and implement the necessary plans for the industrial, agricultural, environmental, human and social development of the environment.
  • Developing operational plans for environmental projects and the rules for its implementation from financial, human, political and social sides.
  •  Raising environmental awareness through seminars and workshops.
  • Expansion of medical, veterinary, agricultural, sports and educational convoys.
  • Develop the necessary executive programs to achieve the university’s plans for environmental development and community service in various fields.
  • Providing scientific consultations to industrial companies and export-import companies and contributing in solving scientific problems in them as well as examining the safety of industrial, agricultural and mineral products to control and confirm their quality.
  •  Establishing a mechanism for communication with civil society institutions to meet their needs.
  • Strengthening the relationship, exchanging experiences and providing services between the university and the universities of the Nile Basin.
  •  Coordination between the university faculties regarding the composition of the working group to implement and follow-up on various projects.
  • Cooperating with Child University to embrace the children of slums from the genius and innovators.
  • Implementation of murals in the love of Egypt and development of areas and youth centers.
  • Recycling waste, beautification and landscaping streets to develop slums.
  • Studying the needs of persons with special needs.
  • Conducting analytical studies to transform plans and programs of the environmental development into applied and research projects, and designing special proposals applied and research projects in coordination with the university faculties.
  • Develop a marketing scheme for research and projects accomplished by the university.
  • Working to provide full information from external sources of the environment, which can benefit the community in conducting the necessary research.
  • Develop systems to follow up the progress of the various applied research projects and ensure the extent to which its objectives are achieved.
  •  Facilitate the task of faculty staff members to participate in applied and research projects activities; and providing them with the necessary facilities and capabilities to carry out these tasks.
  • Discuss proposals for applied and research projects with local organizations to present them to officials.
  • Organizing training courses in various research, industrial and medical applications.
  • Opening new channels of communication between the University and the outside community, including international and local entities, civil institutions, various ministries and major companies.
  • Organizing conferences and symposiums in conjunction with various parties on various issues to support the role of the University in community service and environmental development.
  • Writing down recommendations, ideas and proposals issued by conferences and symposiums held at the University in the field of community service and environmental development and follow-up of their dissemination to the concerned authorities and the various media.
  • Prepare a database on the services provided by the University through its various units.
  • Preparing a database on protocols and agreements held by the university.
