17.2.1 Direct involvement in the national government SDG policy development


South Valley University (SVU) is a governmental institution has a direct involvement in national government and regional nongovernment organizations SDG policy development – including identifying problems and challenges, developing policies and strategies, modelling likely futures with and without interventions, monitoring and reporting on interventions, and enabling adaptive management an important role in the formulation of national policies as a member of the Supreme Council of Egyptian Universities. Therefore, SVU has a direct involvement in the national government SDG policy development based on the UN SDGs and Egypt Vision 2030 for sustainability. SVU represented in its president, participates in the monthly meeting of the Supreme Council of Universities.
SVU has developed a strategic plan to meet the UN Sustainable Development Goals SDGs. Moreover, it has a direct involvement in the Higher Education Ministry’s strategic plan.
