Faculty of Al-Alsun in Hurghada Celebrates the ‘Mistress’ of Languages

The Faculty of Al-Alsun participated in the celebration of the University’s branch in Hurghada on the World Day of the Arabic Language under the auspices of His Excellency Prof. Youssef El-Gharabawy, President of South Valley University and Prof. Dr. BadawyShahat, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Kamal, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Mahfouz Abdel Sattar, Vice President of the University for Hurghada Branch, Dean of the Faculty of Education,
Prof. El-Saadi Al-Ghoul, Dean of the Faculty of Al-Alsun, Prof. Dr.Ashraf Mahmoud Dean of the Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence, Prof. Osama Emara, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Education in Hurghada for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. DrHaggag Muhammad, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Al-Alsun for Education and Student Affairs, Prof. Dr. Karima Abdullah, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Education for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Dr. Ruqayya Mahmoud, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Al-Alsun for Community Service and Environmental Development, Prof. Osama Atta, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence for Education and Students Affairs, Prof. Dr. Rabab MagdyZamzamy, Vice Dean of the College of Computers and Artificial Intelligence for Community Service and Environment Development Affairs.
The ceremony was attended by Sheikh Dr. Abdul Basit Othman, Director General of Dawah (Call) in the Red Sea, on behalf of the Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Awqaf, Sheikh Saleh Jamal Sayed Imam and preacher of the Awqaf Directorate, MP Dr. Ilariae Samir Haris, Member of Parliament as well as a group of public leaders, and academic staff, employees, and students of the faculties of Education, Al-Alsun and Computers.

The ceremony began with the national anthem and verses of the Holy Quran recited by Sheikh / Saleh Jamal Sayed Imam and the preacher of the Directorate of Awqaf.Then Prof. Mahfouz Abdel Sattar greeted all the audience and asserted that the aim of celebrating this day is to be proud of the mother tongue and to recognize its universality and importance, as well as shedding light on the threats it faces and attempts of demolishment.Nevertheless, it will remain strong, for God preserved it and made it immortal when He made it the language of the Qur’an.Dr. Abdul Basit Othman spoke about the Arabic language and its importance and status among languages. The students of the College of Education presented poems of poetry and chantedwith the love of the Arabic language.The students of Al-Alsun College presented a sketch on the importance of mastering the language when translating into Arabic, and they mentioned the views of some orientalists in the Arabic language and their description of it and how they flirted its beauty and glamour.They also mentioned some examples in our Arabic language that are used with the same meaning in the English language.
