1) Making questionaires about attitudes of public opinion in Upper Egypt bout certain issues.
2) Doing continuous researches and studies to measure attitudes of public opinion about main issues that requires continuity to serve certain national purposes.
3) Supplying decision makers locally and nationally with updated information that contributes to forming objective and accurate background for the sake of achieving the local development of Upper Egypt in particaular and the whole Egyptain community in general.
4) Providing information and consultations for different institutions in Upper Egypt to develop methods of studying the public opinion.
5) Performin tasks of scientific publication of researches, studies and issues related to public opinion in order to enrich knowledge about public opinion.
6) Cooperating with universities, scientific institutions and similar research centres all over the world to get use of the advanced information, methods and techniques used in studying public opinion.
7) Organsing conferences, seminars and symposioms.
8) Issuing a weekly magazine to develop the journalism skills for students of Faculty of Mass Media in particular and students of the university in general to be skillful in a competitive atmpsphere in mass media works.
9) Issuing a scientific specialized magazine which is interested in publishing studies and researches of public opinion.
