Today, Saturday, at the Faculties of Al-Alsun and Computers and Artificial Intelligence in Hurghada, South Valley University, the first proceedings of the 14th Environmental Week were launched under the auspices of Dr Yousef Gharabawy, President of the University, Dr Ahmad Kamal Nassary, Vice President for Community
Service and Environmental Development, and the presence of Dr Mahfouz Abdel-Sattar, Vice President of Hurghada Branch, Dr. El-Saadi Al-Ghoul, Dean of the Faculty of Al-Alsun, Dr. Osama Emara, Dean of the Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence, Dr. Haggag Muhammad Haggag, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Al-Alsun for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Osama Atta, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Computers and Artificial Intelligence, Dr. Rabab Zamzami, Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Education in Hurghada, and faculty members at the faculties Alsun and artificial intelligence.
The proceedings began with holding a scientific symposium to introduce the students and attendees to the Red Sea environment, its marine and terrestrial nature, and how to preserve the Red Sea environment, which is rich in natural resources and wealth.
Dr. Ahmed Ghallab, Director of the Northern Islands Reserve in the Red Sea Reserves, gave an interesting presentation on the marine environment in the Red Sea, its rich resources, and the impact of climate change on the rich environment of the Red Sea.
The proceedings continued with a workshop on climate change, in which Heba Ali Suleiman, one of the young ambassadors of sustainable development in the Red Sea participated, where she spoke about the concept of sustainable development and its objectives and made a special presentation of the concept of climate change.
This came as the beginning of the activities of the 14th Environmental Week, which South Valley University celebrates at this time every year. The week includes many activities, events and awareness seminars to educate and motivate students through their active participation in such activities.
