Today, at Al-Alsun College in Hurghada, a symposium was held on combating violence against women in collaboration with the National Council for Women, the Red Sea Branch, on the occasion of the celebration of the International Day for Anti Violence Against Women. This coincided with the 16-day campaign of activities to combat violence against women

Prof. Ruqayya Mahmoud started the symposium by shedding light on the status of women and their role in society. Ms. Narmin Abu Saree spoke about the concept of violence against women and its forms. Prof. Rabab Zamzamy praised the role played by the National Council and its activities during the 16-day period to combat violence against women. Ms. Hana Gamal spoke about the role of the Women’s Complaints Office in the National Council and the services it provides for women, in the presence of Dr. Ahmed Moawad, a German language assistant lecturer, college students and staff.
