On November 20th , Prof. Dr. Abbas Mansour, President of the University, received director of DAAD Cairo office Dr. Roman Luckscheiter within the framework of the German Cultural Week at Universities of Upper Egypt confirming the importance of the scientific cooperation between them. Additionally, he referred to the visit of German Ambassador in Cairo Julius Georg Luy which demonstrated how the cooperation with SVU has been important that started with opening Faculty of Al-Alsun, Department of German, El-Koba Library at Faculty of Arts ,etc.
Furthermore, Dr. Roman Luckscheiter said that the scientific exchange wasn’t the only role of the DAAD but also offering programs and training for all organizations. Moreover, a symposium on the international programs in Germany and funding opportunities for researchers and also a workshop on how to write the research projects and some of the specialized lectures were held.
