Under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr Youssef Gharbawy, President of South Valley University, the Selection Committee of the Archeology Faculty’s Dean was held, with the membership of Dr Abbas Mansour, the former university president, Dr Mohamed Al-Juhainy, the former dean of the Faculty of Archeology at South Valley University, and representatives of the Supreme Council of Universities, Dr Mahmoud Ahmed Mahmoud Al-Khudrajy, Professor at Sohag University, and Dr Heba Mostafa Noah, former Vice President of Cairo University.
The president of the university stated that the committee had conducted personal interviews with the applicants and listened to their development proposals in various sectors of the faculty, Noting that the candidates for the position of Dean of the Faculty of Archeology were Dr Wael Bakry Rashidy, Dr Atef Saad Mohamed, Dr Iman Ahmed Abu Zaid and Dr Abdo Abd Allah Omran Al-Darby.
