Treating 120 children on the day of volunteer service at the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine


            Under the patronage of Dr. Youssef Gharbawy, President of the University, and Dr. Ahmed Kamal Nassary, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and supervised by Dr. Ahmed Talaat Tamrik, Dean of the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine, the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine organized ” The Day of Volunteer Service” in partnership with the Misr El Kheir Foundation and Dentacarts compony, in a voluntary campaign targeted treating 120 children for free for the age group 6-10 years, as of 26-27 February.

               Dr. Ahmed Kamal Nassary expressed appreciation to this initiative, which contributes to the provision of free medical care services for children, explaining that it links the university with the surrounding community and highlights its role in community service by providing health services for children and educating them.

              Dr. Ahmed Talaat Tamrik stated that this initiative comes within the framework of voluntary initiatives and campaigns undertaken by the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine in cooperation with many institutions, which target various groups of society with the aim of providing health services for children and others.

              Dr. Al-Tayeb Abdel-Razek Muhammad said that the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine provided, through its doctors participating in this initiative, various services such as fillings, tooth extractions, and drawing up treatment plans for children’s oral health, with a focus on explaining good dental habits to maintain children’s growth, chewing and speech efficiency.

             For his part, Dr. Ahmed Bastawy, Head of the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at the Faculty, added that the participating group includes a highly qualified group hold a doctorate and a master’s degree in pediatric dentistry and take care of the teeth of children and people with special needs.
