Under the directives of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Akkawy, President of South Valley University, Dr. Muhammad Saeed, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, inspected the volunteer house located in campus, in the presence of Mahmoud Muhammad Yassin, Awareness-Raising Officer of the Fund for Combating and Treating Addiction. Through the tour, the Vice President got acquainted with the activities of the on-campus volunteer house and discussed the various activities undertaken at the university to raise students’ awareness of the risks of addiction.
The Vice President also visited Al-Azima Center for Addiction Treatment in the presence of Major General Hany Lotfy, Managing Director of the Center, where he inspected all the center’s departments, guest accommodations, recreational and entertainment places, the center’s restaurant and clinics, He also listened to an explanation from the center director and the psychologist about the stages of a patient entering the center until his recovery, as the center provides free and confidential treatment services.
