Under the presidency of Prof. Abbas Mansour, the University council approved:
– Organizing the 4th international conference entitled” Plastic Arts and Community Service” on February 4-6,2018 by Faculty of Fine Arts in collaboration with Community Services and Environment Development Sector.
– Organizing Luxor first Wood Carving forum on December 19-20,2018 by Faculty of Fine Arts.
-Approving the research project regulation funded by the university.
-Providing the chance to enroll in postgraduate studies at Faculty of Archeology in Luxor (Diploma – Preliminary year) for its three departments in the period from 10-9-2018 to 12-10-2018.
-Activating postgraduate studies diploma for human rights at Faculty of Law in the academic year 2017\2018.
-Dominating Prof. Hala Nofal for King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein Award for Creativity.
-Holding the 1st international conference at Faculty of Nursing on November 16,2017.
-Organizing the 13th soccer tournament on the next November.
-Appointing Prof. Mohammed Mahmoud Salman as professor at Faculty of Science.
-Appointing (Dr. Salah Abo Alwafa at Faculty of Arts, Dr. Ahmed Ezzat Abdel Rahman at Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Dr. Mahmoud Hasaballah at Faculty of Computer and Information) as assistant professors.
-Appointing (Dr. Rawya Mounir and Dr. Marwa Mohammed at Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Mokhles Adeel Ahmed at Faculty of Agriculture, Dr. Abdel Rahim Fathy,Dr. Essa Mohammed and Dr. Nagwan Ibrahim at Faculty of Medicine )as Lecturers.
-Granting doctoral degree to 14 researchers at the different faculties.
-Granting Master’s degree to 38 researchers at the different faculties.
-Granting General Diploma in Education to 114 students.
-Granting Special Diploma in Education to 169 students.
-Granting Professional Diploma in Education to 145 students.
-Granting General Diploma in Education (Two years system) to 7 students at Faculty of Education in Hurghada.
