Under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed Akkawy, President of South Valley University, and the supervision of Dr. Badawy Shehat, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, the university has commenced its participation in the sixth edition of the Southern Universities Games Festival. The event is organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports at the International Youth City in Luxor under the slogan “Youth of the New Republic’s Universities”, with the sponsorship of Dr. Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Engineer Abdel Muttalib Amara, Governor of Luxor.
The festival runs from February 15 to 18, 2025, with South Valley University participating with 29 male and female students, along with a supervisory team, in various sports, including volleyball, 3×3 basketball, table tennis (for both male and female students), and women’s football.
