Prof. Dr. Ahmed Akkawy, President of South Valley University, and Prof. Dr. Ali Abdel Rahman Goel, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, witnessed the welcome day of Al-Ahlia University affiliated with SVU, which began with the republican peace and raising the Egyptian flag at the start of the new academic year, they also witnessed the performance of the Egyptian flag salute, In the presence of the coordinators of the programs of the National University, faculty members and a large number of students.
The President of South Valley University congratulated the University students and employees on the occasion of the new academic year 2023/2024 and stressed that the university is a place for learning and academic achievement, pointing to the importance of participating in student activities that constitute half of the student’s personality and that it develops competitive performance to achieve more quality, there would be coordination between the practice of student activities and the dates of scientific lectures so that there would be a balance that would maintain the university student’s academic achievement.
Prof. Dr. Akkawy honored the winning students of the summer activity in table tennis, chess, and photography and presented them with awards.
The activities of the welcome day included an exhibition of drawing, sports & recreational games for students under the supervision of Al-Ahlia University students and the implementation of Ahmed Waheed, Director of Student Welfare, Student Union, and Egypt Students Group.
