Prof. Dr Youssef Gharbawy, President of South Valley University, inaugurated the Clinical Pharmacy Unit in the Pediatrics Department at Qena University Hospitals, which was attended by Prof. Dr Ahmed Kamal Nassar, Vice-President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs; Prof. Dr Badawy Shahat, Vice-President of the University for Educational and Student Affairs; Prof. Dr Ali Abdelrahman Ghoweil, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine; and Prof. Dr Ashraf Abo Elwafa, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy.
Dr Gharbawy confirmed that this unit is part of the teaching hospitals’ modernization of operational systems in order to improve medical services. Clinical pharmacy contributes to providing health care and treatment to patients while optimising resource use.
