Under the auspices of President of the University Prof. Dr. Abbas Mansour and supervision of Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Khodary, the 4th Annual Celebration of Science Day was organized to honor the winners of the university awards in 2017. Prof. Dr. Abbas Mansour asserted the university permanent pride of its scientists who do their best in developing the university, referring to the importance of scientific research that is a base of the nations’ progress. He also praised the university development in that field that reflected in its position and order in all levels, referring to the availability of financing and assistance in the range of the available possibilities at the university. Additionally, he talked about the cooperation with third parties to finance scientific research such as the European Union, German Academic Exchange Service and other institutions.
Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Khodary asserted the university appreciation of scientists as it is the only way to progress and meet the development of the world, referring to the presented awards and selection’s methods based on clear criteria as publishing in scientific journals and the accessibility of such researches. At the end of the celebration, the awards and certificates of appreciation were distributed in the presence of a large number of the academic staff.
