SVU is studying to inaugurate a non-Arab-speaking education program.


Within the framework of South Valley University’s endeavor to communicate with its African and global surroundings, cooperate, and provide educational service to the African continent and the whole world in the field of teaching Arabic to non-native speakers, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Akkawy, President of South Valley University, held a meeting in the presence of Dr. Salah Selim, Dean of the Faculty of literature, Dr. Mahmoud Al-Nubi, Dean of the Faculty of Science in Luxor, and Dr. Faraj Qadri Al-Fakharany, Vice Dean of the Faculty of literature for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Hamdallah Abdel Hakim, Director of the Cultural Heritage Center and member of the Council of the Arabic Language Department, Dr. Ezzat Abdel Alim, Director of the Quality and Accreditation Center at the Faculty of literature, Dr. Hossam Farag, member of the Council of the Arabic Language Department, and Mubarak Ahmed. The president of the university indicated that the meeting aims to increase the university’s resources of foreign exchange and provide a distinguished educational service to non-Arabic speakers through intensive programs, as well as providing specialized courses in the field of Arabic language and literature for non-native speakers through non-intensive programs according to the needs of learners. The university aspires to graduate international teachers able to teach Arabic to their countrymen.
