Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, announced the winners of State Appreciation and Encouragement Awards in 2016 where SVU won the fifth center with three awards .In the field of Agricultural Science, there were Dr. Wageh Ali Ahmed and Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Ahmed at Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and in the field of advanced technological science, there was Abdullah Abd elhay at Faculty of Engineering.
