Dr. Ahmed Akkawi, President of South Valley University, attended the meeting of the National Universities Council, chaired by Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The meeting was held at the ministry’s headquarters in the New Administrative Capital, with the presence of Dr. Maher Mesbah, Secretary-General of the Council, council members, and several ministry officials.
At the beginning of the meeting, the minister praised the achievements and progress made by national universities, emphasizing their crucial role in supporting the higher education system. He highlighted the growing trust of students and parents in these institutions, noting that national universities have successfully attracted a significant number of students, with more than 60,000 enrolled in the current academic year.
