PHD thesis discussion on political participation and student entrepreneur in military colleges at the Faculty of Education in Qena.


Prof. Dr. Ahmed Akkawy, President of Qena University, received Major General Medhat Kirillos, Advisor to the Commander of the Air Defense Forces, on the sidelines of the discussion of his doctoral thesis at the Faculty of Education in Qena, in the presence of Dr. Essam El-Tayeb, Dean of the Faculty of Education in Qena, Dr. Hassan Abdeen, Dean of the Faculty of Education at Alexandria University, Dr. Mohamed Ghazy Desoky, Director of the National Center for Educational Research in Cairo, Colonel Mina Shokry, Director of the Office of the Commander of the (15th) Air Defense Division in Luxor, Mr. Abdel Razek Hussein, Assistant Secretary of the University, and Mr. Ali Amer, Director General of Legal Affairs at the University.
Dr. Ahmed Akkawy welcomed Major General Medhat Kirillos and his delegation, expressing pride in the Egyptian Armed Forces’ role in safeguarding national security and promoting continuous development in science and research.
Major General Kirillos praised Qena University’s impressive progress across various sectors, highlighting its model status among educational institutions striving for excellence.
During the visit, Major General Kirillos presented his doctoral thesis titled “A Structural Model of Causal Relationships Between Political Participation, Risk-Taking, and Systems Thinking Among Student Leaders in Military Colleges.” The study examined the psychological and behavioral factors influencing student leadership in military settings.
The thesis defense committee included Dr. Essam El-Tayeb (Chair), Dr. Hassan Abdeen from Alexandria University, and Dr. Mohamed Ghasy Desoky from the National Center for Educational Research. The supervising committee featured Dr. Essam El-Tayeb and Dr. Doaa Mohamed Abdel Aziz from Qena University.
