Under the auspices of Minister of Higher Education Dr. Khaled Atef Abdel Ghaffar , Minister of Youth and Sports Eng. Khaled Abdel-Aziz , Governor of Luxor Dr. Mohamed Sayed Badr, Secretary General of the Association of Arab Universities Dr. Sultan Abu-Orabi and President of the University Prof. Dr. Abbas Mansour, the 9th International Camp for Scouts was organized at SVU with the participation of 14 Egyptian universities. Prof. Dr. Abbas Mansour referred to the importance of organizing annually the camp as an example of effort and bestowal carried out by the youth to achieve development. Additionally, Dr. Emad Albanan, Director of the Executive Office of Council of Arab Ministers of Youth and Sports, asserted scouts’ objective to achieve advancement and participate distinctly in projects and events .At the end, Prof. Dr. Ismail Mahmoud referred to the importance of gathering youth under the umbrella of Values referring to the effort of SVU in hosting this important event annually.
