The 3rd Scientific Conference for Department of General Surgery was opened on December 15, 2016 under the presidency of Prof. Dr. Abbas Mansour in cooperation with the Egyptian Society of Surgeons .Prof .Dr. Ahmed Abo Alyosr, Dean of Faculty of Medicine, asserted the importance of holding these conferences which are a great opportunity to exchange experiences and to identify what’s new in various medical specialties thanking senior professors for their presence. Additionally, Prof. Dr. Safwat Abdel Kader, Head of the Conference, spoke about the latest researches in general surgeries calling the researchers for developing themselves and serving the surrounding community. Moreover, Prof. Dr. Hamdy Hussein, Head of Department of General Surgery, referred to the great development of the department since it’s founding in 2009 and the scientific activities via organizing conferences, seminars and workshops.
