Governor of Qena General Abdel Hamid El Hagan and President of the University Prof. Dr. Abbas Mansour opened the 13th Arab Soccer Tournament on Nov.11, 2017 under the auspices of Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Prof. Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghafar and Minister of Youth and Sports Eng. Khalid Abdul Aziz. General Abdel Hamid El Hagan welcomed the participating delegations, referring to the tournament objectives that are deepening the sense of loyalty and belonging to the homeland, strengthening and consolidating bonds of friendship and cooperation between students and exchanging experiences. Besides, Dr. Amr Ezzat Salama, Secretary General of Union of Arab Universities, expressed his happiness with his presence among the university youth, emphasizing the importance of sportsmanship, humbleness and communication between the participants. It is worth mentioning that a large number of the faculty members and students attended the opening of the championship that consisted of 28 teams in 8 groups.
