In the context of cooperation between SVU and the regional and international institutions, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies met the delegation of Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for charitable and humanitarian work. President of the University Prof. Dr. Abbas Mansour talked about the objective of that visit which was providing many urgent medical services and exchanging experiences. The visit involved visiting the University Hospitals to determine the material and human capabilities to launch the Global Pulse Initiative to perform heart surgeries. Besides, he referred to the university keenness on achieving the most benefit from that Initiative. In 2007, those activities launched and many cooperation protocols with various medical institutions were signed.
