Prof. Dr. Youssef Gharbawy, President of South Valley University, announced the launch of the first scientific on oncology and nuclear medicine at South Valley University, which will be held in Luxor from 16 to 17 March, to discuss the new in chemotherapy, radiation therapy and surgical treatment of tumors.
Dr. Ali Abdel Rahman Gowell, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, said that the conference is one of the scientific activities that are held throughout the year for the attendance of faculty members, young doctors and researchers with the aim of achieving intergenerational communication in all disciplines, especially the specialization of oncology, due to the continuous updating of the protocols and treatment regimens that reflect on the quality of the health service provided to patients.
Dr. Muhammad Mustafa Wahman, Head of the Department of Oncology and Nuclear Medicine, South Valley University, added that the conference is attended by a group of university professors, inside and outside Egypt, with the aim of raising medical awareness among oncologists and familiarizing them with all new in oncology by focusing on many treatment protocols, including clinical pharmacy which is now an integral part of oncology.
