Under the auspices of President of the University Prof. Dr. Abbas Mansour, an initiative has launched to warn students from damages of drug addiction and its negative effects .The president referred to the resolution of the problem that has depended on the cooperation of all institutions’ efforts confirming the important role of Addiction Treatment & Abuse Fund to face this problem.
Besides, Mr. Amr Osman, Director of Addiction Treatment & Abuse Fund, defined drug addiction as a complex disorder that can involve virtually every aspect of an individual’s functioning—in the family, at work and school, and in the community .He completed his speech with that the fund has launched many initiatives to give the right information about the damages of drug addiction and treatment that has delivered in many different settings using a variety of behavioural and pharmacological approaches. .At the end, a cooperation protocol has been signed between the University and the fund.
