Governor of Qena Chairs Regional Health Council Meeting with University President


Dr. Ahmed Akawi, President of South Valley University, attended the Regional Health Council meeting chaired by Dr. Khaled Abdel Halim, Governor of Qena. The meeting focused on discussing the current medical landscape and enhancing coordination among governmental hospitals across various sectors. It also addressed the establishment of a crisis management unit, the activation of new ambulance points, and improving ambulance operations to enhance the quality of medical services provided to citizens.

 

The meeting was attended by Dr. Hazem Omar, Deputy Governor; Major General Hossam Hammouda, Secretary-General of the Governorate; Dr. Mohamed Youssef, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health; Dr. Ahmed Hashem Abd El-Lah, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the University Hospitals’ Board of Directors; Dr. Haggagi Mansour, Executive Director of University Hospitals; Dr. Mostafa Kamal, Director-General of the Health Insurance Authority in Qena; and Dr. Ashraf El-Hawary, Deputy of the Medical Syndicate. Also present were directors of university hospitals, directors of health directorate hospitals, and representatives of health administrations in the governorate.
