Under the presidency of Prof. Dr. Abbas Mansour , the University council approved:
• Establishing Faculty of Engineering at the university in Red Sea Governorate.
• Signing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) agreement between Okayama University, Japan and South Valley University in cultural enrichment and scientific progress.
• Holding the 1st Arab Conference of Faculty of Education entitled “Education in the Arab world of 21st Century Reality – Ambitions – Challenges”.
• Organizing the 1st International Forum for Graphic Arts of Faculty of Fine Arts on March 5-15, 2017.
