conclusion of the 3rd International Conference for Environmental Studies


The 3rd International Conference for Environmental Studies has been conclusion, which was organized by South Valley University in the period from August 16 to 18, 2016 in Hurghada – Red Sea Governorate under the auspices of the Higher Education and Scientific Research Minister Dr. Ashraf Chihi, Minister of Local Development Dr. Ahmed Zaki Badr, Minister of Environmental Affairs Dr. Khaled Fahmy, Minister of Tourism Mr. Mohamed Rashid, governor of the Red Sea Major General Ahmed Abdullah, the South valley University President Dr. Abbas Mansour and the supervision of Vice President for community service and environmental development Dr. Sayed Taha.
The Conference Chairman, Dr. Ibrahim Desouki said that the conference was ended with many important recommendations, including:

– Emphasis on the need to preserve the environment and maintenance it from degradation and using clean and renewable energy and exploiting all available resources in this field.
– Activating the waterways protection’s laws in Egypt, such as the Nile River, canals, drains and lakes.
– Urging the Ministry of Industry to apply the environmental standards.
– Urging the Ministry of Antiquities to preserve and maintain the environmental and industrial heritage of natural reserves.
– Maximizing the role of all audio and visual media and social networks to spread the environmental awareness among citizens.
– Attention to early wastes classification and industrial recycling of metal wastes, witch resulting from industrial wastes.
– Treatment the Industrial wastewater and use it again
– Urging organizations and institutions of geological studies for interesting in the study of geological areas and rationalizing water consumption.
– Putting the control approach on infection for students in the medical sector and continuing in the government’s program to eliminate the hepatitis C virus (HCV).
At the end of the ceremony, the participants in the conference were honored and providing them with certificates of appreciation.
