On 26/4/2017,Governor of Red Sea Governorate Major General Ahmed Abdullah and President of the University Prof. Dr. Abbas Mansour has witnessed concluding the 9th Festival of Speedball organized by SVU in cooperation with the Egyptian Speedball Federation with the participation of 11 public and private universities in Hurghada. Prof. Dr. Abbas Mansour, President of the University, asserted the importance of annually organizing the festival to increase the interaction between students and to support students’ activities, thanking President of the Egyptian Speedball Federation, Vice President for Egyptian Sports Federation for Universities and Secretary-General of the Federation for their support to the festival. Moreover, Mr. Amr Hussein, President of the Egyptian Speedball Federation, expressed his happiness at attending that festival and supporting Prof. Dr. Abbas Mansour to it .He added that the Federation would include Speedball in the Egyptian Championships organized by Egyptian Sports Federation for Universities, referring to that the festival coincided with the opening of the second African Speedball Championship with the participation of 13 African countries. At the end, Prof .Dr. Mohammed Abul Fadal Badran, Vice President for Students’ Affairs, announced the wining of Ain Shams University with first place and Cairo University with the second place in the championship.
