Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Youssef Ghrabawy, President of South Valley University, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Kamal Nassary, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and Dr. Mahfouz Abdel Sattar Abu Al-Fadl, Dean of Faculty of Education in Hurghada, an awareness symposium was held as a part of symposiums and meetings that the university implements in order to educate students to participate in the National Literacy Project.
The symposium clarified all aspects of participation and procedures for opening classes for illiterates, also there was an open discussion between students and lecturers to find out the difficulties facing students and how to overcome them.
