A workshop on electronic management of teaching and examination halls at SVU


Prof. Dr. Ahmed Akkawy, President of South Valley University, Dr. Badawy Shahat, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, and Dr. Muhammad Saeed, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, witnessed the launch of a workshop that discusses the electronic management of teaching and examinations halls, in the presence of the deans of the university’s faculties, the application work team, and Dr. Muhammad Mahdy, Responsible for following up on development projects at the university, Mr. Mubarak Ahmed, Director General of Public Relations, and Mr. Shawqi Amin, Director General of the University President’s Office.

Dr. Ahmed Akkawy indicated that the electronic management system for teaching halls and examinations is one of the most prominent electronic applications within the comprehensive development process emanating from the development plan witnessed by the various sectors of the university, including automation and building integrated databases.

The university president also added that this process aims to make optimal use of all teaching halls in all the buildings of South Valley University, as well as the National University. It also aims to achieve the absorptive capacity, extract reports on the percentages of absorptive capacities in all faculties and buildings and determine peak teaching hours throughout the day and week, with the aim of accessing the South Valley University digital system. Then the work team presented the application of electronic management for teaching and examination halls and explained the outcomes of the application, including determining the occupied and available teaching halls, extracting reports on the capacity at any hour of the school day, determining the location of each department in each group in all university faculties, and implementing study schedules in a more accurate, effective manner and follow-up the teaching process around the clock.
