The functions of the Electronic Services Unit are:<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

1- The Faculty network:<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u2981 Follow-up to the Faculty Intranet.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

\u2981 Periodic examination of the Faculty’s network and current and future requirements.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

\u2981 Preparation of periodic reports on faults, network efficiency and utilization rate.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

\u2981 Download original software and antiviruses.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

\u2981 Cooperation with the University Network Administration to achieve the required <\/em><\/span>objectives and policies.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u2981 Implementation of the required expansion of the Faculty wired & wireless network in coordination with the University Network.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

\u2981 periodic maintenance of computers and their accessories and supervision of maintenance contracts.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

2- Digital Library Project:<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\n\u2981 Creating accounts on the digital library for teaching staff, their assistants and graduate students in coordination with the central project of the University.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

\n\u2981 Activation of electronic correspondence at the Faculty.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

3- Management Information Systems (MIS):<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

These systems combine information technology, computer science and management<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

with the aim of building technological computer systems that assist the various<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

administrations in carrying out their work in order to reduce burdens and financial<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

costs for staff and to establish a decision support system at the Higher Council of<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

Universities.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

 MIS Tasks:<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

\u2981 Training of staff on how to work in Management Information Systems.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2981 Training faculty members in systems related to their work, such as the Control and Quality System.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2981 Providing technical support to users of Management Information Systems.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2981 Periodic reports on the efficiency of work in the systems and their application at the Faculty.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Management information systems services:<\/strong><\/em><\/span>
\nIt provides services to:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2981 Student Affairs Administrations.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

\u2981 Employee Relations.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

4- Information Technology Training Project:<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

\u2981 Organization of IT training courses for faculty members, their assistants and employees in coordination with the training project at the university.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

\u2981 Providing technical support to all beneficiaries of the information technology Unit services.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

5- E-learning:<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

\u2981 Coordination of cooperation between the administration of the E-learning Unit at the Faculty and the university.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

\u2981 Training faculty members, students and assistants on the use of electronic curricula.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

\u2981 Activating the use of curricula produced by other universities and related to the various specializations of the Faculty.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

\u2981 Preparation data of student and faculty members for electronic curricula activated at the Faculty.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

6- IP:<\/em><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u2981 It is the link between the Faculty\u2019s Electronic Services Unit project and the university\u2019s iPortal project.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

\u2981 Creating and activating the academic E-mail for faculty members, students, and employees.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

\u2981 Create a television channel of the Faculty on YouTube and upload videos of important events within the Faculty.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

\u2981 Publish and update news on the portal at the rate of 50 news per month.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

\u2981 Publishing the study schedules for the various academic programs.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

\u2981 Follow up publishing news for users in the different parts of the Faculty.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n
