Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Youssef Gharbawy, President of South Valley University, and in cooperation with the Egyptian Orthopedic Association, the second conference of the Orthopedic Department at the Faculty of Medicine, South Valley University- Qena, was held in the presence of a large number of orthopedic surgeons from different governorates of Upper Egypt.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Ahmed Akawy, Vice President of South Valley University for Post-Graduate and Research Affairs, stressed the importance of scientific research and its role in improving the health service provided to the citizen and the extent of the University President\u2019s keenness to support all scientific research efforts in all fields, especially those specialized in emergencies and road accidents.<\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Gamal Hosny, Chairman of the Egyptian Orthopedic Association, stressed the importance of this conference in that it provides an excellent opportunity for Upper Egypt doctors to discuss clinical cases with faculty members and doctors from all over the Republic, and so Dr. El-Sayed Abdel Hamid, Head of the Orthopedic Surgery Department of the faculty of Medicine-Qena and Chairman of the Conference, emphasized the department\u2019s keenness to actively participate in scientific meetings and conferences inside and outside the country to find out the latest technologies in the field of orthopedics in order to improve the educational and therapeutic service provided by the department, moreover, Dr. Hamdy Tamam, Secretary of the Conference, pointed out that more than thirty complex cases had been discussed in the presence of a large number of faculty members in the universities of Cairo, Benha, Tanta, Mansoura, Minya, Assiut, Sohag, Suez Canal, Al-Azhar, Ain Shams, Zagazig, 6th of October and a large number of consultants and orthopedic specialists in Qena and Luxor governorates.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\t\t
