ESTABLISHMENT
The study began in Archeology departments at Faculty of Arts before the university separation from Assuit University. Egyptology: The study began (Regularity) in 1991 / 1992 and (Affiliation) in 1997 / 1998. Islamic and Coptic Archeology: The study began (Regularity) in 1991 / 1992 and (Affiliation) in 1998 /1999. Restoration: The study began (Regularity) in 2000 / 2001 and (Affiliation) in 2001 / 2002. Decree No. (129) in 2006 was issued to establish Faculty of Archeology ,Qena and as a result of that the three departments mentioned above were transferred from Faculty of Arts to Faculty of Archeology, Qena according to the university council decision No.(709) on 13/8/2006.The study began for the first class in 2006 / 2007.
