South
Valley University Council in its recent meeting
at the University headed by prof. Dr. Abbas
Mansour, the University President approved
participating of South Valley University in
scientific cooperation and academic with the
Nile countries and African countries, as well as
nomination of General Coordinator of the
university for African Affairs for coordinating
and activating the African cooperation with
Egyptian universities.
The Council also approved holding “Festival of
Fine Arts " between South Valley University at
Faculty of Fine Arts in Luxor and African
universities in order to strengthen the cultural
relations and science exchange , in addition to
hold joint cooperation between South Valley
University and universities of Yemen in the
fields of scientific and academic studies ,
research, consultancy and training , beside
establishing branch of National Authority for
Quality Assurance and Accreditation at the
university for serving education in upper Egypt.
On the other hand,
the university president pointed that the
council approved the bylaw of Department of
Geography at Faculty of Arts to become
Department of Geography and Geographical
Information System with credit hours system ,
and establishing technical high school for
nursing assistants at Faculty of Medicine, South
Valley University according to bylaw of supreme
council of universities, as well as opening the
phoniatrics section in professional diploma at
Faculty of Education and establishing
Arbitration Centre at Faculty of Law.
Furthermore,
the council approved appointment of Dr. Eman
Ahmed Ali as assistant professor at Faculty of
Archeology and both of Dr. Ahmed Mahmoud Hassan
Sayed , Faculty of Medicine and Dr. Ahmed
Mahmoud Abbas Hassan , Faculty of Science as
lecturer , beside granting Doctorate degree for
both of Mohammed Khalil Ibrahim Khalil, Faculty
of Science and Mervat Kamal Helmy ,Faculty of
Education in addition to granting Master degree
for both of Safaa Yousif Nur Salama, Hossam
Al-Din Kamal Abd Alaal , Mohammed Hussein
Mohammed Hussein , Faculty of Veterinary
Medicine , Zainab Ali Saad Abd Al-Atty , Faculty
of Science and Asmaa Ahmad Rafat , Faculty of
Education in Hurghada
