South Valley University Organized the First Political Forum on Human Rights

South Valley University organized the first political forum on human rights under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Hani Helal, Minister of Higher Education and State for Scientific Research, Prof .Dr. Mohammed Safi Al-Din Kharboush ,President of the National Council for Youth and Prof. Dr. Abbas Mansour, President of the University, in the period from 4-7 May at the level of the Egyptian universities, in collaboration with Ministry of Higher Education (student activities project) and the National Council for Youth and, Misr Cement Qena .Prof. Dr. Abbas Mansour, President of the University, said that the forum aimed to inculcate values of political and constitutional participation for the university students, develop skills and abilities of students in the fields of intellectual and educational dialogue, prepare and activate participation of students and their role to create persons with the ability to meet and understand the needs and aspirations of society, and educate students their political and constitutional rights and duties.

 
Prof .Dr. Tharwat Abdel Rahman, Vice- President for Education and Students, added that universities participated in the first political forum were Al-Azhar, Cairo, Alexandria, Assiut ,Mansoura, Helwan, Menoufiya , Beni Suef, Fayoum, Banha, KafrelSheikh and Sadat Academy in addition to South Valley University. It was worth mentioning that a group of lectures were organized in the first political forum where professors of law in Egypt attended including Dr. Ahmed Rafat, A member of the National Council for Human Rights, Ragab Mohamed Salim, Vice President of the Supreme Constitutional Court, Rafat Abdul Rashid, Vice- President of the state council, Prof .Dr.Tharwat Abul Alaal, Dean of the Faculty of Law in Qena, and Dr. Mohammed Yunus Mohammed.
