SVU participates in:
Meeting of Equal Opportunity Project in Germany


Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Mustafa Massad, Minister of Higher Education and Prof. Dr. Abbas Mansour, the university president that South Valley University participated in the meeting of participating universities in project of "equal opportunities in higher education for females," in Free University of Berlin, Germany, in cooperation with universities of Cairo, Alexandria , Sohag and South Valley, where was represented South Valley University in meeting Dr. Jehan Rajab Dawood ,vice-dean for environment affairs at faculty of Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and project manager at South Valley University and Dr. Safia Fatth Al-Bab ,lecturer at faculty of Arts as well as deputy director of the project at the University.

During the main meeting of the participating universities representatives was showed the project and its importance, where Dr. Jehan Rajab Dawood confirmed in speech of SVU that the university has the highest proportion of females about 2, 58% compared to males, so it’s a proof that South Valley University has become a source of safe and confidence for many families in south Egypt because of the interest in females inside and outside the university, while the visit also included a number of workshops and training programs.

The meeting recommended to do a questionnaire in each university participates in the project for the needs of staff members and their proposals for developing the university in cooperation with the Strategic Planning Unit in Ministry of Higher Education and it is expected to provide those questionnaires in a conference at the level of Egyptian universities.
