SVU council decides:
-Science exchange agreement between South Valley University and Applied Science University in Spain
- Announcement of faculty of Medicine, Qena for Demonstrator job

South Valley University Council decided in its meeting at the University in Qena, headed by Prof. Dr. Abbas Mansour, the university president to hold agreement for scientific cooperation and cultural with the University of Mostaganem, Algeria, and Yemen university .
As well as the council approved on science exchange agreement with the University of Applied Sciences in Valencia, Spain. On the other hand, it is also approved on announcement of faculty of Medicine, Qena for Demonstrator job in various clinical departments, in addition to activate the economics department at faculty of commerce in the beginning of the academic year 2012, 2013.
The council decided to appoint Dr. Sedik Khiyami Hammad as a lecturer at Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Khalid Ahmed Abdel Rahman as a lecturer at Faculty of law, Dr. Eman Abdul Aziz as a lecturer at Faculty of Nursing and Dr. Zeinab Abdel Khalek Marei as a lecturer at Faculty of Science.

The council also decided to grant a doctoral degree for both of Shaimaa Badawi Fekry Mahmoud, Faculty of Education in Hurghada, Abdul Rahman Abdul Fattah Abdullah, Faculty of Education in Qena and Mohammed Ismial Ahmed Abdel Karim, Faculty of Science, beside granting Master’s degree for each of Haitham Fawzi Hassan Assaf, Nada Mohamed Nabil Fahmy, Eman Abdul Salaam Hassan, Omnia Mustafa Fahmy, Ahmed Abdul Hamid Ali, Saida Ali Ahmed Taha , Ahmed Al Araby , Hussein Ibrahim Abul-Kasim and Rasha Abdullah Saif Al-Nasr at faculty of science , as well as Shaimaa Hassan Mahmoud and Ahmed Abdul Fattah Ibrahim at faculty of education in Hurghada , and Hiam Hamdan Abdul Hamid, faculty of education in Qena and Shaimaa Mekky Basry Hassan at faculty of Medicine

The Council approved on granting a special diploma degree in education at faculty of education, Hurghada for (22) student, general diploma degree in education for (10) student, general diploma degree "one year system” in education for (36) student and vocational diploma degree in education for (5) student.

The Council also granted bachelor's degrees to number of students at some faculties of the university who succeeded in October exam 2012.
