The British Egyptian Society is convening a two day conference for Egypt and Britain to share their recent experience in education and training and to develop initiatives for future collaborative projects. The conference will reflect the wide range of opinions opened up by recent political changes in Egypt. It will involve those hoping to influence education development in Egypt alongside the Egyptian Ministries of Education and Higher Education, as well as UK government representatives, academic bodies leading education reform in the UK, and business and industry in both countries. It will be an early opportunity to engage the new Egyptian government

The British-Egyptian Society is working with the following partners in Egypt and the UK: Cairo University, the Institute of Education and SOAS at the University of London, Pembroke College Oxford University, the University of Cambridge English for Speakers of Other Languages, the Egyptian Ministries of Education and Higher Education, the British Council in Egypt and the British Egyptian Business Association. The conference is also being actively supported by the British Embassy in Egypt, the Egyptian British Business Council in London and employers in both countries.

The conference will display a prominent A0 poster exhibition in both locations, illustrating education projects and programmes by institutions, governments, and companies in both countries. For further information about the exhibition, contact
