 Egyptian Fulbright Scholar Program

 

The Binational Fulbright Commission in Egypt (BFCE) is pleased to announce the AY2009-2010 Fulbright Egyptian Scholar Program that provides opportunities to use the American universities' research facilities, .libraries and laboratories to conduct independent research for 3-9 months .

 ELIGIBLE FIELDS: All fields are eligible with the EXCEPTION of medicine, dentistry and veterinary medicine .

GRANT TYPES:

1. POST-DOCTORAL GRANTS :

a) Research Grants

provide opportunities to use the American universities' research facilities, libraries and laboratories to conduct .independent research. Occasional lecturing is encouraged .

b) Lecturing/Research Grants at Selected American Universities :

Provide post-doctoral lecturing/research opportunities for scholars in various fields requested by the u.s. partner universities/ institutions. Grants are awarded for a period of one to two semesters and jointly funded Available opportunities: Mary Baldwin.by the host university and the Fulbright Commission in Egypt College: language and culture; State University of New York, Cobleskill: literature, communications, agricultural biotechnology (or other agriculture or natural science fields), business administration/technology management and information technology; Northeastern University: Arabic language, Middle East studies, political science, public policy, history, economics, business, sociology, anthropology, Islamic studies and publichealth; Doane College: Teaching Arabic as a/oreign language, culture studies, Islamic studies .

11. ARTS MANAGEMENT GRANTS :

Provide opportunities for Egyptian professionals in the field of arts management and administration to pursue a .structured program of study followed by individualized study to enhance their managerial capabilities.
