Prof. Dr. Ahmed Akkawy, Vice President for Postgraduate and Research Affairs Sector, gave a lecture on indicators of measuring the research performance of the university where he explained the following:
- The sub-fields of scientific research, indicators of measuring the effectiveness in each field, and mechanism benchmarking to interpret these indicators.
- The relationship between the quality of scientific research and the international ranking of universities.
- The importance of joint research in adding value to university work.
- The diversity of researchers’ cultures and their transfer of international expertise.
- The contribution of scientific research to achieving the university objectives and its integration with educational and societal objectives to be able to achieve the vision and mission of the university.
Besides, Dr. Mahmoud Abdel Sadek, Coordinator of Erasmus+, explained how to manage the European Union projects, and presented the new advertisement for applying for funding for these projects.
