Emphasis is<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"> on promoting, restoring and protecting mental health of individuals and<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"> group. The student will be able to assess, plan, implement and evaluate<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"> the care of clients experiencing different types of psychiatric and mental<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"> illness. Also to utilize<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><em><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"> the nursing process within the therapeutic nurse client relationship with<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><em><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"> the emphasis on the humanistic holistic approach and develop an open<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><em><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"> communication with health care providers team to facilitate the client<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><em><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"> healing process in a structured environment. The focus of the training is<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><em><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"> on the therapeutic use of self, this will be achieved by providing a<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><em><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"> supervised experience in an inpatient psychiatric setting.
