Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Youssef Gharbawy, President of South Valley University, the student group “Horus family” at the university, in cooperation with the General Administration of Student Welfare, organized the first sports marathon for the year 2022/2023 with the participation of 300 students from various faculties of the university and in the presence of Prof. Dr. Badawy Shahat, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Ashraf Mossa, Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education, Dr. Mahmoud Labib, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and Dr. Hany El-Desoky, General Pioneer of the Horus Family, Prof. Dr. Badawy Shahat conveyed the greetings of Prof. Dr. Youssef Gharbawy and then launched the start signal for the Marathon, which started in front of the University Gate No. 1 and ended at the Faculty of Physical Education at a distance of 3 km

Prof. Dr. Ashraf Mossa indicated that the student Mohamed Ahmed Abdel Ghany, from the Faculty of Agriculture, won the first place, the student Mostafa Basiony, from the Faculty of Physical Education, won the second place, the student Mohamed Mahmoud Ahmed, from the Faculty of Physical Education, won the third place, while the student Mohamad Mansour Mohamad, from the Faculty of Physical Education, won the fourth place.
