South Valley University Wins The 16 Arab Championship Cup of Quintet Football.

Under the patronage of Dr Khaled Abdul Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education, Dr Ashraf Sobhy, Minister of Youth and Sports, Prof. Dr Youssef Gharbawy, President of South Vally University, Prof. Dr Bedawy Shahat, Vice-President of the University for Education and Students Affairs, and Dr Amr Ezzat Salama, Secretary-General of the Arab Universities Union, The 16 Arab Championship of Quintet Football has concluded by South Valley University, the Championship has held from 13 to 18 November, in the presence of Prof. Dr Ahmed Kamal Nassary, Vice-President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and Prof. Dr Ashraf Moussa, Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education.

The Competition resulted in winning South Valley University’s team the Championship Cup after beating Al-Minya’s team with 3/2 kicks, while the Ministry of Higher Education team ranked third in the championship after beating Al-Menoufia’s team 2/1.

In the closing ceremony of the tournament, Prof. Dr Youssef Gharbawy, President of South Vally University, congratulated South Valley University’s team for winning the Championship Cup for the first time, praised the heroic performance of  AL- Minya University’s team, which ranked second, and thanked the participating Egyptian and Arab universities for the wonderful behavior and civilized appearance, which expressed the spirit of cooperation and honorable competition among the people of the Arab world, Prof. Dr Youssef Gharbawy with Dr Ahmed Kamal Nassary and Dr Badawy Shahat handed over the prizes to the first three teams, and the Palestine Technical University team won the Sporting Spirit Award, while the Menoufia University team won the Best Group Performance, the player Mohamed Saber Selim from South valley University won the Best Goalkeeper Cup, Marwan Issa from Assiut University won the Tournament’s Goalscorer Cup, and Ibrahim El-Sayed Salah from Minya University won the Best Player Cup.

Prof. Dr Youssef Gharbawy exchanged the prizes of the University’s Shield with both Oman’s Technology and Applied Sciences University and the Palestine Technical University.
