Noor Association for Blind
2016 – 2018
Cooperation was carried out between the Al-Noor Association and the Education Center for Information Systems of the Southern Military Region and the University’s Career Development Center to implement the rehabilitation project for better job opportunities for people with disabilities. A total of 405 disabled have been trained over three years, which resulted in the employment of 205, and accordingly, the center and the association were honored.
The project of “Turning Disability into Energy” was implemented in cooperation with the International Plan International Egypt to rehabilitate 150 young people in the age group 29/18 socially, which carried out most of the activities related to economic empowerment at the Career Development Center and through it were:
- Training 150 disabled students on computer skills.
- Training on developing CVs.
- Training to provide personal interviewing skills.










2018 – 2019
- This project was launched to enable 120 disabled youth educationally and economically.
- Meeting with the deans,faculty members, and students to identify the obstacles they face.
- Specialized training for students with visual impairment on the computer.
- Training on how to check the visual spelling of persons with visual impairment for Braille.
- Two graduates with disabilities were employed at the university audio library, 2018/2019.
- Marathon on foot to celebrate the International Day of the white cane.
- Three sign language courses for faculty, students, and staff to spread the culture of dealing with people with disabilities.
